I grew up in the peaceful southern Delaware countryside, right next to my grandparents' sprawling 200-acre farm. On a clear night, I could be found outside, laying on a blanket, stargazing. My dreams of stargazing brought me to live in the Andes mountains of Chile, where I traded my love of the stars for a new love — travel and adventure. (Oh, and I met a boy... More on that later.)
Taking up a career in international consulting and education, I spent the next 20 years of my life traveling the globe, earning my MBA, working in leadership development and heading up a nonprofit focused on closing the achievement gap for urban youth.
Somewhere along the way, I married that Chilean boy, and we have an amazing daughter together. I've now traded my love of travel for the love of one special place: Home.
As a busy executive and mother, I came to closely understand the desire to have your home be a place where you can rest and rejuvenate, connect with family and be surrounded by things that you love. But too often, I noticed that my own home felt chaotic and cluttered, like an overflowing list of things that needed my attention.
Like 6 million other people, I was drawn to read the New York Times bestselling book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Japanese organizing guru, Marie Kondo. I was completely inspired by Marie's beautiful philosophy of sparking joy in your home and your life, so much so that I am now one of the world's first certified KonMari Consultants. (Learn more about my journey to become a KonMari consultant here.)
I am thrilled to help people create spaces that they love. Together, we're making the world less stressful, one space a time.
